FAQ’s

Do you accept submissions?

Yes, we do and our submissions are currently open! If you are interested send us a pitch for your submission via our Twitter or via our email flipscreened@gmail.com.

What sort of submissions are you looking for?

Everything and anything! We accept anything from articles to essays to personal ramblings – as long as it’s on TV and film, we don’t mind! So write in a way that makes you feel comfortable and write about something you’re passionate about! We usually come up with a general theme for each month so if you’re looking for inspiration then look to our theme.

What are you looking for in a pitch?

We’re looking for an idea of what you want to write – whether that be a full scale essay plan or just a few bullet points on what you want to write. As long as there is some indication of where you plan on going with your writing, that’s all that matters. We also want to know about you! So make sure you tell us a bit about yourself and why you think you’d do a great job of writing this specific piece.

Can I pitch more than one submission?

Yes! Though we may only limit you to one submission each month depending on demand.

My pitch has been accepted, how long should my submissions be?

We’re looking to have pieces from round 500 – 2500 words, though we can be lenient on word count if necessary.

Are you looking for more staff?

Yes we are! We are currently looking for more Staff Writers and Editors to join our team. If this is something you are interested in then please email us flipscreened@gmail.com with the subject header “Staff Writer,” or “Editor,” respectively.
